I loved watching you grow.
You enjoy life to the fullest...
You can be silly
and serious.
You grew up surrounded by family who loved you.
There were a few trying years -when you began to learn about yourself, and figure things out. I really didn't like your hair when it was black ...I guess I can tell you that now.
Your sister has been one of the biggest joys of your life, and in return you are a gift to her. This has been a challenging year for you in a lot of ways - it's not easy for an active person to suddenly become dependent on others for everything. But the accident helped you grow as a person, it gave you a sense of the importance of living fully. You are moving forward with a clear direction and defined goals.
Happy 20th birthday Megan.
(I'm the mother of a 20 year old. Really? Am I that old? Help!)

Yes, mom, you really are that old. But no matter what I've been through over the past 20 years, you are the person that has stuck by me the most. I didn't really like my hair black either, come to think of it. Red suits me best. I'm not sure where you got these photos, but I'm really glad you did. I needed this, today. My sister IS the biggest joy in my life, hands down. And I wouldn't trade my relationship with her for anything. I regret not really seeing her for the first couple years of her life. I mean, i really didn't know her. I know I will never make up for the years I lost with her, but I can try my darnedest. I love you, and her, with all of my heart. Thank you so much for this.
Megan
Happy Birthday Megan!
old is in the mind of the beholder. you are NOT that old.!!! :) HB megan
Happy Birthday, Megan!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures and your memories with us.
Megan: Happy Birthday! Beautiful pictures.
And Camlin, old is in the eye of the beholder. I have a son who's 24. I'm old...but not. The beautiful thing about it is we may seem ancient to 20 somethings...but we're just the right age to be very attractive to 40 & 50 somethings. Which works out just fine.
You're not old, you're wise with the years you've spent on this earth.
What a sweet post for your daughter. Happy birthday to Megan, indeed!
Happy Birthday Megan! I kind of remember when you were born oddly enough (maybe it's a small town thing) and although your mom and I were never extremely close, we were always in each other's lives. Glad it's all worked out!
P.S. Momma - mine is almost 20 too :)
what a nice post about your daughter.
if it makes you feel any better, I am a mother to a 20 year old as well...and i can't believe it either.

Camlin, to you I'm sending a virtual rose. Always have thought the mother should get presents on her child's birthday. You did all the work 20 years ago!
belated birthday wishes to megan!
